I had never been to Great Smoky Mountain National Park until just recently. What a beautiful place full of great photographic opportunities. It has been a very wet Spring in the park this year so there was water everywhere. Streams were really roaring, and small brooks like the one shown above, were flowing well above the normal rate. Everything was green, really green, with new plant life sprouting up everywhere. This kind of life is only possible when there is water in abundance. The need for water is universal to life. In its absence there is death. As human beings we need water to live. Anyone who has been really thirsty knows how important a drink of water is. But maybe you are experiencing a different kind of thirst. Jesus once told a large crowd of people, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.' John 7:37-38 The kind of thirst Jesus is talking about only occurs in people. It's a thirst that cannot be quenched with the water we drink. It is the spiritual thirst that each person feels inside and tries to deal with in a variety of ways. Jesus says this thirst can only be satisfied by the living water He gives. Are you spiritually thirsty today? Look to Jesus, He'll satisfy your every need. For more information follow the link below.
