The scene in this photograph brings me back to the days of my youth when we would travel as a family out West.  The hills seemed to never end and there were often questions in my mind about what was over the next horizon.  I don’t know about you, but I am drawn into this picture because I often think  about what lies ahead.  You probably do too.
What is true about a road trip is also true about life.  Life is a journey and each day is somewhat of a mystery.  We make our plans, but certainty is never guaranteed.  Where can we find peace of mind in a world that is increasingly unstable and unpredictable?  I believe true contentment comes from a relationship with the God who knows us and knows our tomorrows.  King David wrote about this in Psalm 139.

As the world rapidly changes, there is great uncertainty about what tomorrow holds.  The God who created us, loves us.  He knows us and knows about our tomorrows.  He calls us from wandering and wondering in this life, to putting our faith in Him.  So, what does lie ahead for you and me?  Only God knows, but we can find contentment in life as we trust and follow Him.  Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30; "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light".
